Meet Novel Productions: Ali Bendall's Exciting New Venture
Sydney's theatre scene has a new name to watch, and we couldn't be prouder to see it come from within our own SPTM family.
Ali Bendall is one of the most quietly prolific creatives working in Sydney theatre today. As a writer, director, performer, choreographer and stage manager, she has spent years shaping productions from every possible angle, most recently steering every element of The Complete Works of Jane Austen (Abridged), a production that brought Regency wit and modern irreverence together to real acclaim.
Now Ali steps into a new role as Producer, launching Sydney's newest theatre production company, Novel Productions.
Anyone who has worked alongside Ali knows what a wonderfully creative force she is. She brings the same care to every part of a production, from the page to the stage to the people in the room, and Novel Productions is a natural next step for someone who has never done things by halves.
